SOM Soccer: View Tournament

Welcome to the official web site for the 5th Annual Matthews USA Invitational tournament!

The Invitational was held over two weekends, with U9 & U10 Boys and Girls playing on February 2nd and 3rd and the U11-U18 divisions being played February 9th and 10th.

The tournament is hosted by the Matthews USA soccer club and all games were played in and around Matthews, NC.

The 2008 Invitational used the soccer Score-O-Matic web site and featured a series of prizes: the Golden Boot for leading scorers, the Carolina RailHawks Photo Contest), the Sells Clean Sheet Award (FINAL RESULTS), team rosters, featured coaches, and much more.

Tournament Director

Gary Hamill is Wingate University’s associate athletic director and director of soccer. Also, he is the head coach for the Wingate University men’s soccer team.
He has been involved in youth soccer for many years as a training coach and Director of Coaching with Matthews USA. Gary's contributions are too many to list here, but we are very grateful to have him involved with Matthews USA.
